MYCOTEN®-PLUS VAGINAL CREAM AND TABLETS
Active Ingredient
The standard formulation contains Clotrimazole 1%. Some variants, such as Mycoten-Plus, contain a combination of Clotrimazole (2%) and Clindamycin (1%) to treat mixed fungal and bacterial infections.
Common Uses
- Yeast Infections: Relief from vaginal itching, burning, and thick white discharge (leucorrhea).
- External Irritation: Can be applied to the vulva to relieve external itching associated with a yeast infection.
- Other Fungal Conditions: The active ingredient Clotrimazole is also used for skin infections like athlete's foot and ringworm, though specific "vaginal" packaging is intended for internal use.
